چکیده

Background Th1/Tr1 promoting adjuvants, in allergen-specific vaccines, could be a valuable alternative to the current allergen immunotherapy. It is now the pro-Th1 adjuvant effect of Neisseria meningitidis proteoliposome (PL). Previous studies in a prophylactic murine model of respiratory allergy the vaccine showed its immunogenicity and safety. To assess the immunogenicity and non-clinical safety profile of a novel anti-allergic vaccine candidate based on purified allergens from Dermatophagoides siboney and a combination adjuvant containing PL and Alum, in sensitized mice.

IgG1/IgE ratio is relevant for the protective effect of an alum-adjuvated allergen vaccine in a murine model of local allergen challenge

Background The new anti allergic vaccine is based on purified allergens from Dermatophagoides siboney and the combination adjuvant containing a TLR-4 ligand and alum. We propose that IgG1/IgE ratio is effective to assess the clinical efficacy of this experimental vaccine. Aim: To evaluate the immunogenicity of formulation variants of a D. siboney adjuvanted vaccine with varying levels of allerg...

Poster 2010: A study assessing the safety and efficacy of subcutaneous immunotherapy with a dust mite vaccine with the adjuvant l-tyrosine in a highly sensitized population in a Latin-American city

Methods We realized a 2 years ambispective study for assessment safety and efficacy of subcutaneous immunotherapy with a dust mite vaccine with the adjuvant L-tyrosine. We reviewed the data of 292 patients with allergic rhinitis and/or asthma. They are sensitized to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus or Dermatophagoides farinae and or Blomia tropicallis. A data base was constructed to allow complet...

Assessment of stability and compatibility of dermatophagoides and blomia allergen mixture for sublingual immunotherapy

Background House Dust Mites are important etiological agents of respiratory allergy. Allergen mixtures are often used for specific immunotherapy in polysensitized patients, although scientific evidence to support its efficacy, safety and stability is scarce. Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) is being gradually accepted as an alternative to conventional subcutaneous immunotherapy. For SLIT, higher...

Immunotherapy – 2073. Therapeutic effect of mite allergen vaccines by subcutaneous route in allergic Cuban asthmatic patients

Background World Health Organization position paper on immunotherapy recommends using mite allergen vaccines for rhinitis and mild to moderate asthma. Allergic sensitization to domestic mites and particularly to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney and Blomia tropicalis has been described before in Cuba, as strongly linked to respiratory allergy symptoms. The aim of this wor...

Correlation between skin tests to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney and Blomia tropicalis in Cuban asthmatics.

BACKGROUND Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney and Blomia tropicalis are the most important allergenic mites in Cuba. The aim of this study was to determine the degree of polysensitization and correlation of the skin prick test (SPT) reaction size to these mites in asthmatic patients. METHODS A total of 232 adult patients with asthmatic symptoms caused by house dust and p...
